OpeningFull Time 40 hours Grade 094 ImmunocytochemistryResponsibilities**Position overview:**The technologist primary assignments include planning and performing staining requests for the Neuromuscular (NM) Laboratory and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Laboratory. The technologist will be expected to become familiar with manual staining procedures as well as using automated machinery. Knowledge of cell morphology and familiarity with correct antibody staining patterns is required to adequately troubleshoot staining problems. Daily decisions regarding workload are required to maximize efficiency and turnaround time. Record keeping skills and organizational abilities are required to document staining methods and maintain quality assurance within the lab. Basic technical skills (Ms office) are necessary to maintain proper logs and data related to the staining procedures. Knowledge of CAP, New York State and JCAHO regulations is helpful.
