The next program is anticipated to begin on April 16, 2018, and is comprised ofdidactic training, high definition simulation and a clinical preceptorship. Specialty Training Apprenticeshipfor Registered Nurses The StaRN program is a 10-23 week (depending on specialty),PAID Nurse Residency program. It allows new graduate nurses toobtain acute care nursing background through an intensive internshipprogram. Open positions will varythroughout the year, and positions will be offered based on needs of the hospital,but units that typically hire StaRN residents include: * Medical Surgical - Graduate from an licensed school of nursing, within past 1 yr is preferred - Complete an evidence-based capstone project - Emergency Department Part 1: StaRN Training – 1st 6 to 11 Weeks (depending on specialty): * Instructor-led classroom training
