Identify bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, analyze chemical content of fluids, cross match blood for transfusion and organ transplantation, aseptically prepare cells for use in cellular therapies. The results of these tests are used in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.MIN REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science required. MLS (ASCP) – Medical Laboratory Scientist, American Society (ASCP), CLT (HHS) Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Health and Human Services Certification, and/or category specific technologist certifications offered by American Society of Pathology such as BB(ASCP), C(ASCP), H(ASCP), M(ASCP), and MB(ASCP) required.
