Job DescriptionSUMMARY:Responsible for completing daily inspection procedures for the VPC department to meet customer guidelines and expectations. Thoroughly and accurately survey vehicles for damages or shortages upon initial off-loading from ship, truck, or rails; verify exceptions on outbound vehicles.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS1. Follow PDI inspectors to perform final inspection on vehicles prior to release to load lines.2. Verify completeness of PDI inspection forms.3. Perform inspection of vehicle exterior for paint deficiencies, tire pressure, etc.4. Verify battery check was performed properly.5. Verify all accessories for part number as to work order.6. Verify the vehicle VIN on dash, door pillar, and paperwork.7. Report to the Quality Control Supervisor, all deficiencies, throughout all departments, as they occur.8. Maintain a safe workplace environment and follows all policies and procedures regarding safety.9.
