KERO, The Scripps ABC Station in Bakersfield, CA is searching for a photojournalist.The photojournalist will capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms as well as operate satellite news gathering equipment.Duties & Responsibilities:Capture and edit visual content for multiple platformsWork closely with newsroom personnel to create and develop news storiesResponsible for operating various news gathering equipment, including but not limited to microwave live truck, video camera, and video editing equipmentPerform other duties as assignedPosition may require working shifts that may include early mornings, late nights, weekends & holidaysEducation & Background:2 or more years background as a photographer for a news stationSkills & Abilities:Proficiency with lighting and computer based editingProficiency with live microwave truck operationKnowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment
