## Job DescriptionThe Research Programmer position focuses on software support, middleware and interface developments for multiple projects in the Center for Research Computing. Handles revision conflicts and manages revision control well; follows commitment workflow (dev/qa/prod). Provides easy-to-read, thorough in-line code as well as external documentation. Code structure is setup well to encourage efficiency in development. Should test own code for multiple test-cases; writes test cases for own code to ensure future development stability. High level complexity programming, which may involve narrow-viewed planning; should be able to solve all problems/tasks given, with few exceptions; should be able to give accurate time estimates; reliable to complete tasks on time and produce clean code. May be sought out for advice on specific technologies.
