Purchasing Analyst - (Richmond, VA)

We are currently seeking a highly qualified Procurement Analyst, to join the Direct Material Procurement organization in Richmond, VA. The successful applicant will ensure that contracting strategies for operations and manufacturing based functions are executed to meet business qualifications at the best possible value.Specific accountabilities include:Assuming responsibility for the supplier management for suppliers of product components or packagingManaging supplier performance and relationships (i.e. on-time, quality, services, systems cost, etc)Responding to customer needs and requirementsAssisting in Supplier Qualification processTraining internal clients on the use of Procurement systems and Procurement and Financial Policies and ProceduresTraining clients on responsibilities associated with contract managementDeveloping contract or strategic supply terms/conditions in coordination with Law and FinanceBidding and executing contractsSourcing and selecting appropriate suppliersParticipating in or leading
