Medical Records Clerk - (San Antonio, TX)

Location: Near the medical center Hours: Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm Pay level: $13-$15 per hour, depending on background Length of assignment: 2-4 weeks, possibly longer What you'll be doing: -Initiating the medical record by creating and processing the patient care record folder -Maintaining record availability by processing charts into the department; using chart mark-off procedures; facilitating chart location activities -Retrieving medical records by following chart-out procedures; documenting reasons charts cannot be retrieved for statistical and follow-up purposes -Keep health care providers informed by communicating availability or unavailability of the record -Maintains patient confidence by keeping patient records details confidential Working hours: Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm Skills: REQUIREMENTS
