Accounting/Finance Internship - (Ridgeland, MS)

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES : Apply the principles of accounting to analyze financial transactions. Interpret financial statements and reports. Communicate key operational and financial results. KEY FUNCTIONS Responsible for providing support to designated department. Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Analyze, interpret, and communicate financial details for users inside and outside of the Accounting/Finance Departments. Track, summarize, and report data required by regulatory authorities as needed. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory rules and regulations. Make recommendations to management for problem resolution. Use various software applications such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports. Perform additional duties as assigned by department manager.
