DescriptionSaturday and Sunday, 10pm - 6amThis position must answer, in rapid succession, a large volume of emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching calls appropriately by operating the centralized telephone switchboard. The Operator will monitor for emergency codes, initiating overhead paging and/or notifying the appropriate emergency code group and communicating with the Administrator On Call and House Supervisor to ensure a timely response to all codes and pages.RequirementsHigh School Diploma6 months of hospital transporter or dispatch background or six months of customer service phone background.Good customer service skillsKnowledge of Automatic Call Distribution System, windows-based programs and fax machineInterpersonal and communication expertise (both verbal and written)Problem solvingStress managementTroubleshooting
