Payroll Specialist - (Palm Bay, FL)

SUMMARY Perform essential duties, lead and direct the work flow ofthe Payroll Department to ensure that all payroll is processed in an accurateand timely fashion, and that accounts payable invoices are properly coded andprocessed in a timely fashion. ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Payroll Duties and Responsibilities Compile payroll data such as hours worked, taxes, insurance,employee withholdings, and employee identification number, from time sheets andother records. Prepare computer input forms, enter data into computer files,or compute wages and deductions and post to payroll records. Review wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracyof payroll. Record changes affecting net wages such as exemptions,insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update masterpayroll records. Record data concerning transfer of employees betweendepartments. Prorate expenses to be debited or credited to each departmentfor cost accounting records.
