Load Planner - Transportation - (Green Bay, WI)

Job Information Description Essential Job Functions: Assume responsibility for load planning, optimization, and scheduling of all loads. Pivotal link between driver managers, scheduling and transportation. Assign loads to trucks, following the companys policy on planning qualifications. Respond to customer and operational needs by answering e-mails, phone calls, tracking shipments, and moving shipments Prepare reports for internal distribution Provide load exception investigation and reporting Utilize customer or consignee web sitefor appointments Coordinate with driver managers to ensure on-time delivery by estimating times of arrival and delivery, and recovering loads when necessary. Maintain working relationships with customers and co-workers to facilitate the functions of transportation Ensure max utilization of driver hours Marginal Job Functions: Other duties as assigned Position responsibilities: Strong analytical organizational and analytical skills.
