As a Public Defender, you will: establish productive working relationships with clients and prosecuting attorneys; analyze facts and law presented in each case; advise clients on the legal options available to them and the consequences associated therewith; negotiate plea bargains; draft and litigate pretrial motions; investigate relevant facts; interview witnesses; represent the client in court at motion hearings, jury or bench trials, sentencings and probation violation hearings; collaborate with other attorneys and staff, as needed.
