Production Supervisor - (New Hudson, MI)

Continental Aluminum, a major recycler of aluminum and a subsidiary of Metal Exchange Corporation, is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee a processing shift at its New Hudson, MI plant. Preferred applicants will have a min of 3yrs’ background leading a manufacturing team. Job duties: Champions a “safety-1st” working environment Ensures materials, equipment, and manpower are available to achieve production quotas Adheres to procedures for environmental and quality standards Analyzes unknown metal samples to comply with content specifications Trains employees on various plant functions Conducts employee performance appraisals and administers performance management Communicates daily production levels and reports any issues Works closely with Maintenance to ensure optimal equipment efficiency and up time Institutes practical applications of lean manufacturing principles Maintains an appropriate knowledge of computer systems Starting salary is dependent on the applicant’s background
