Camp director, horizon day camp, baltimore, md - (Baltimore, MD)

Principal Responsibilities: Position Purpose: To further the mission of our organization through the development and management of Horizon's summer day camp and year round programs, while delivering high-quality service to camper families and the camp community. In all areas, achieve standards of excellence set out by the Sunrise Association. This position reports to the Executive Director of Horizon Day Camp. Essential Job Functions: Assignments include, but are not limited to: Oversee all daily functions necessary to operating an excellent day camp for children with cancer and their siblings based on the Sunrise Association model Lead all camp planning, preparation and execution to ensure max safety and positive experiences for the campers and camp community; help create a culture of inclusion, care and childhood fun Work with hospital staff to implement a camper recruitment plan Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all seasonal and year-round staff and volunteers
