Standardized Patient: Forensic Actor (PRN) - York Hospital Tracking Code D35663 Position description General summary: A standardized patient (SP) is an individual who is trained to simulate a medical scenario for learners in training. The SP: Forensic Actor will be trained to accurately portray victims of sexual and/or physical abuse while interacting with healthcare and community providers. The scenarios will allow the learner to demonstrate the sensitive clinical skills required when caring for victims of a traumatic crime. All scenarios will be performed in the Hospital Simulation Center and may be video or audio recorded. The simulation may include the following: History of the assault (physical and/or sexual) General medical and social history Symptoms and injuries associated with history provided Physical and emotional state of the SP Head to toe physical examination Genital examination
