The Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a tenure-eligible, tenure-ineligible, or tenured faculty position in the Movement Disorders Program. Assignments include participation in clinical and associated teaching activities in the Movement Disorders Clinic. The incumbent is expected to devote effort to contributing to and expanding this active clinical program. Candidates with an interest in establishing, or demonstrated expertise sustaining, an effective extramurally funded, and independent research program are encouraged. Rank and tenure status are dependent on requirements, background and scholarly achievement. Candidates must have an MD or equivalent and be board-certified or board-eligible at the time of hire in Neurology. Subspecialty training in movement disorders is required. To be considered for the tenure-eligible position, candidates must have background in basic or clinical research and a strong interest in a career in academic medicine.
