Special Education Teacher - (Lancaster, MA)

Overview: The Robert F. Kennedy School at Lancaster is a Chapter 766 approved special education school for the children in residence on the campus, along with special education services to many day students from surrounding communities. We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to be responsible and teach supervise the educational and emotional/behavioral needs of the students within the classroom. Duties Include: Operates a classroom that meets the students’ needs for safety, educational growth, and social/emotional development. Evaluates students’ specific educational needs in the area of Science and develops educational plans and programs to meet those needs. Produces an educational assessment in the area of Science on each student (at six weeks) to be updated annually. Assist in development of Individual Education Program goals with the student’s Homeroom Teacher for the area of Science, as needed.
