Job description: PRIMARY FUNCTION(S): Conduct research at the forefront of Rigidity Theory, using techniques from Discrete, Convex and Algebraic Geometry. Duties and Responsibilities: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct research in Rigidity Theory and Computational Geometry, using techniques from Discrete, Convex and Algebraic Geometry and with a focus on potential applications to molecular and crystal structures, within the framework of Professors Streinu (Smith College) and Borcea (Rider University) NIH grant "Rigidity and flexibility of large bio-molecular assemblies" and NSF grant "Structure in Motion". Participate in research group activities, including presenting in weekly research meetings and seminars, writing papers and light administration duties shared with other group members. Interact with graduate and undergraduate students in Prof. Streinu's research group and provide advice, mentoring and research guidance, within the framework of the grant topics.
