Scientist I - Downstream Process Development - (College Station, TX)
External US Position summary: Plan, conduct, evaluate, and interpret routine laboratory experiments as part of a multi-disciplinary program team. Monitor ongoing experiments and identify and resolve or suggest alternatives or solutions to complex occurrences. Understand and apply use of equipment, technology and materials associated with area of ability and related studies and projects. Display technical knowledge and scientific understanding of downstream purification of viruses, proteins, and plasmid DNA utilizing knowledge of process development at both small and large process scales. Develop, plan, optimize, and scale-up chromatography processes (including affinity, IEX, HIC, etc.) and filtration processes (including UF/DF, depth filtration, and sterile filtration, etc.). Support tech transfer into manufacturing or quality control. Lead technology transfer programs. Program Autonomous Chromatography methods.
