Linux Desktop Architect - Windsor, CT - (Windsor, CT)

We are currently seeking a Linux Desktop Architect who will be responsible for Desktop Distribution to be used on physical and virtual workstations with the primary focus towards a Developer community. The new hire will provide oversight of conceptual designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture governance (e.g., principles, policies, standards, future-state reference architectures). You will also be responsible for maintaining awareness of current business and industry issues/trends and incorporate into enterprise architecture designs as appropriate. Main responsibilities: Providing senior level ability on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprises overall systems architecture. Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements. Reviews, advises and designs standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact on the enterprise business process and goals.
