DescriptionThis is a PRN position. The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital part of an interdisciplinary team assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care in efforts to deliver the highest levels of care to the patient and family. CHRISTUS Highland has two (2) Med/Surg units, a step-down unit, cardiovascular step-down unit, CCU, ICU, L&D, and NICU. Highland has a 24/7 Rapid Response team and 24/7 access to Hospitalists. This position mandates the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of CHRISTUS Health, To Extend the Healing Ministry of Jesus Christ.Qualifications Current Louisiana State RN Licensure Current BLS, ACLS required Min of two years previous Hospital background (new grads are not eligible) Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and medical staff both verbally and written.
