Position description This professional manager is comprehensive, progressive, risk-driven, collaborative, facilitative, and well organized. This position leads and facilitates activities and regulatory/accreditation compliance in the areas of emergency management and safety management. This includes responsibility for evaluating, developing, and implementing programs and operations. The manager coordinates with other system and community partners. Required background: Bachelor's degree. National Incident Management Courses: IS 100, IS 200, IS 700, and IS 800 must be completed within six months of hire. Five Years' background in Emergency Management, Occupational Safety and Health, Public Health, Public Safety, Healthcare, Nursing, or a related position. May require a valid driver's license and/or eligibility for a UnityPoint Health – Meriter drivers permit. May require, within 1 yr of employment, Hazardous Materials Technician (HMT) certification.
