CEO, Licensed Plumbing Inspector - Multiple Positions - (Orrington, ME)

The Town of Orrington is seeking qualified applicants for CEO and Licensed Plumbing Inspector for our Town of 3700 residents. Assignments include but are not limited to issue of permits, inspection, investigation and enforcement of various codes and ordinances for the Town. This is a part time 12-20 hour per week position with 1 evening meeting a month. Min requirements include high-school graduation or GED plus 3 years of background in the enforcement of any code recognized by the State of Maine for purposes of certification, or any equivalent combination of background and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Knowledge of technical and administrative aspects of town ordinances, regulations and guidelines prepared by state and federal agencies relative to public health and safety. Expertise to interpret zoning laws, plumbing code, read detailed maps and surveys and Shore-land zoning certification is required.
