Job overview Rogers State University, located in beautiful Northeast Oklahoma, is searching for a Director of Communications. The Director of Communications/Assistant Athletic Director will serve as a liaison to members of the media, write news releases and game notes and compile statistics for athletic events. The ideal candidate will be flexible, enjoy working with a variety of sports and activities and will represent the University and the Athletic Department in a highly professional manner. Primary Duties: - Content creation, editing, web sitemanagement; - Work athletic events and assist with staff management; - Archive individual and team statistics; - Archive all photography; Secondary Duties: - Develop strong relationships with local media outlet; - Develop strategies for social media initiatives and athletic department with any other media relation duties; - Provide radio/tv commentaries in the form of interviews, play-by-play work and public address announcing.
