Actor Educator - (San Antonio, TX)

Have you ever wanted to use your passion for acting in a fun and educational way? Actor Educators work in the Education Department of the San Antonio Zoo to facilitate immersive, engaging, and interactive presentations that inspire guests to love, engage, act, and protect animals and the places they live. Actor Educators are energetic and enthusiastic individuals that perform dynamic and improvised presentations, sometimes including singing. Actor Educators use exhibit graphics, role playing, live animals, props, and physical theatre to encourage our guests to be advocates for wildlife. Required functions Facilitate innovative, immersive, and creative theatrical interactions by performing in character, using storytelling, improvisation, songs, puppets, props, and physical theatre/dance. Educate guests to foster empathy, inquiry, and inspire guests to secure a future for wildlife. Provide accurate and enthusiastic educational info to visitors around zoo in an age-appropriate way.
