Maintenance Electrician - (Tulare, CA)

Definition: To install, service, and maintain electrical wiring systems and equipment at County facilities. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED General direction is provided by a Maintenance Supervisor or higher level management position within the department. Responsibilities may include providing technical supervision to Maintenance Workers I-II-III's. Typical Duties: Plan, lay out, determine required materials and estimate cost of electrical work. Install electrical panelboards, conduits, transformers, pull boxes, switchgear, and related enclosures for electrical services. Install electrical raceways in all types of buildings and underground. Service, repair, and fabricate pumps, motor controls, distribution systems, alarm systems and various other types of electrical equipment and apparatus. Test, locate and repair trouble in electrical circuits and equipment. Repair and replace broken or defective parts in motors, switches and fixtures. Service, regulate, and adjust emergency generator systems.
