Candidates may also fall into a category of current New Mexico certified law enforcement officer or current certified law enforcement officer from another jurisdiction who is eligible for Certification by Waiver by the State of New Mexico. Candidates who are currently New Mexico certified law enforcement officers will be eligible for a $15,000 hiring bonus .
