Pilot Production Chemist - (West Haven, CT)

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Theprimary purpose of the role will be to support the manufacturing of intermediatesused by the operations group for Copper plating chemistry. This chemist will also be responsible formanufacturing samples of developmental chemistry used during alpha and betasite trials. CRITICAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ona weekly basis, this person will be running synthesis reactions and preppingsamples for key strategic customers and development partners. These tasks will require background workingin a laboratory with standard glassware and handling chemicals. Forthe reaction chemistry, a basic understanding of chemical hazards and reactionsis necessary for safe operation in the lab. Familiarity with rotary-evaporator, variable transformers, andthermocouples is useful to understand and control the reactions typically seenin this group. Samples for customers andpartners will require using calibrated glassware, small mixing vessels, and labscale filtration set ups.
