Political Organizing Apprentice, Illinois Chapter Job - (Chicago, IL)

Position title: Political Organizing Apprentice - LIMITED DURATION eleven WEEKS Chapter: Illinois Reports To: Deputy Director, Illinois Chapter Context: Under supervision of the assigned supervisor, helps to build public support to accomplish conservation and political campaign goals by electing applicants who will lead on issues of clean energy, clean water and conservation. Recruits and trains volunteer leaders; assists in carrying out campaign strategies and interacts with volunteers, citizens, political applicants, other organizations, the media and other staff. Scope & Limitations: This is an apprentice position in the environmental field for an individual who within the last 12 mons (from appointment date) has graduated from a 4 yr degree (BA, B.S.) or a graduate level program. The incumbent may only hold this apprenticeship, or any combination of apprenticeships, for up to 1 yr (12 mons).
