Controller - (Long Branch, NJ)

Controller Position responsibilities: Traffic Plan is seeking a Controller with 5-seven years of background, preferably in the construction industry. Must possess a deep understanding of GAAP and knowledge of systems in order to establish best practices. Essential Job assignments: Ensure quality controls over financial transactions and financial reporting. Provides recommendations to EVP and CFO on internal controls, policies and risk management that comply with established best practices. Assist in preparing timely monthly financial statements. Oversee month-end closings, accounts payable, bank reconciliations and billing processes. Analyze and explain account variances on financial statements (specifically P&L and B-S). Review the company's general ledger to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances. Prepare, analyze and present monthly Work In Progress (WIP) reports. Develops budgets and cash flow reporting.
