PRN HIM Specialist - Medical Records Specialist Location: Fort Myers, FL Department: PRE-ADMISSION TESTING Categories: Clerical, HIM / CDI Type: PRN Shift: 10:00 AM-4:30 PM Schedule: Days Description: Shift Details: Mon - Fri, 10:00am - 4:30pm, OR Mon - Fri, 9:00am - 3:30pm The HIM Specialist performs a variety of essential responsibilities associated with medical records functions, providing primary department and multi-line telephone coverage. Promotes and supports availability of accurate, complete, and timely medical records. Multi-task oriented with the expertise to appropriately handle complex issues while providing excellent customer service to all (internal and external), including physicians, clinical staff, patients, etc. Demonstrates excellent communications skills of all types. Must be detail oriented, possess strong technical skills and have a working understanding of medical terminology. Works to promote a spirit of teamwork within the department and organization.
