JobSummary: Process a wide variety of materials into compositeparts and assemblies for prototype development and production. Job assignments: Prepares tools, mandrels, and fixtures for lay-up. Fabricates materials into composite parts and assembliesusing pre-preg and wet lay-up techniques and various requiredmaterials. Performs bonding operations using weight and mixprocedures for resins and adhesives. Programs computer controlled ovens, hot presses andautoclaves to properly cure composites. Performs material sizing and ply design layout ofcomposite parts and bond assemblies. Tests and maintains vacuum valves and hoses forautoclave processes. Prepares surfaces for finish using body filling andsanding techniques. Maintains records on materials and processes duringproduction. Performs operation verification, finalverification, and controls shelf life inventory. Records and maintains inventory of general suppliesrequired to support compositeoperation.
