Finance Director - (Port Charlotte, FL)

FINANCE DIRECTOR The Charlotte County Clerk and County Comptroller is looking to hire a Finance Director overseeing our Comptroller Division. This is a full time position offering a full medical benefits package, including FRS Senior Management retirement and nine weeks of paid leave in 1st year. This is a highly responsible position managing the Clerk's statutory responsibilities as County Comptroller, County Treasurer, and Accountant for the Board of County Commissioners managing transactions with the BCC, public, federal and states agencies, special taxing districts, banks and investment firms, professional consultants, and other concerned parties. The incumbent will collaborate together with Fiscal staff of the Board of County Commissioners to ensure that funds are being monitored closely and all accounting is in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
