CLC Loan Underwriter I - The Woodlands - (Spring, TX)

The CLC Underwriter I supports the operations of the centralized consumer loan center by assisting with data entry, basic underwriting which includes analyzing credit, structuring credit decisions, and coordinating product delivery with internal and external customers. Essential responsibilities: Assists customers and employees with loan requests by identifying immediate and long-term borrowing needs, and providing details about the consumer loan process and available products and services. Collects and evaluates documentation for loan reviews, such as income verification, tax returns, credit reports, social security letters, certificates, divorce decrees, judgment releases, and tax liens. Processes application details in the loan origination software program; approves or denies applications within loan authority. Examines transactions for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to compliance requirements; escalates issues to management for further review.
