Chemist - (Anchorage, AK)

JOB SUMMARY: The Chemist will utilize their knowledge and experience to synthesize data on environmental projects. Additional duties include providing support for the preparation of work plans, reports, SAPs/QAPPs, and UFP-QAPPs; data validation and data management; communicating with the subcontract laboratory; review of technical documents; and Access database management. Personal initiative and critical thinking skills are essential to complete job responsibilities with minimal guidance. Assignments are deadline-driven so must be able to set priorities, take ownership of projects, work effectively, and provide a consistent level of high-quality in a high-pressure environment. CRITICAL FUNCTIONS: Support environmental investigations and assessments in accordance with state and federal regulatory guidelines and as directed by Project Management staff. Adhere to schedule and financial objectives, controlling time and expenditures to achieve project goals.
