Family Law Staff Attorney - Springfield, MA - (Springfield, MA)

Community Legal Aid, Inc. (CLA), the non-profit organization providing free civil legal services to low-income and elderly clients in central and western Massachusetts, seeks a staff attorney to work in its Family Law Unit. The attorney will be based in CLA's Springfield office and will assist individuals with cases involving family law matters including divorce, child support, visitation, and custody. It is anticipated that the attorney's clients will primarily be survivors of domestic violence. The attorney will have significant client contact and will assume an active caseload while continuing to accept new cases. The attorney will also engage in community outreach and education, and will collaborate together with community partners including domestic violence service providers. Some grant-writing and grant-reporting activities are required. REQUIREMENTS: Admission to Massachusetts Bar, or eligible to sit for next Massachusetts Bar examination, or entitled to practice under a Massachusetts practice rule.
