Since 1992, JOIN has supported over 10,000 people in their efforts to find permanent housing. Historically over 80% of those people remain stable in their housing for the longterm. JOIN's unique approach leverages the strength and wisdom of the people experiencing homelessness with whom we work. Our programs include a Street Outreach team that engages people experiencing homelessness on the street, a Housing Retention team that provides post-housing placement support to new households, a Day Center that provides critical basic services, and an experiential learning Immersion Program. JOIN is also the lead organization on several system-wide, multi-agency collaborations that creatively and collaboratively address issues like family homelessness, access to private market rental housing, culturally-responsive services, engagement with homeless individuals in organized camps and others.
