SUMMARY At IBERIABANK, Commercial underwriters play a critical role in the commercial lending process. The underwriter collaborates with commercial loan officers and others to mitigate portfolio risk for the client and accountable for providing an independent comprehensive written evaluation of designated commercial loans. The analysis will include company research, analyze financial statement data, evaluates industry trends ultimately providing recommendations on structure and risk rating. The individual collaborates closely with commercial loan officers and other employees to identify and manage risk on commercial loans ensuring operational soundness for the organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for spreading financial statements, preparing statement analysis and covenant checks in support of the commercial lending function Prepares basis and comprehensive credit analyses on commercial loans that facilitates the credit approval process
