LTE Wildlife Biologist - (Iowa, LA)

This position is the primary liaison between the DNR and multiple small businesses who assist the Department in monitoring Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) in our wild deer herd. This position will train and supply the cooperators and provide quality assurance on the data collected by these cooperators. This position will collect tissue samples from deer and associated hunter data at DNR sampling facilities. This person will perform a CWD sample pick up route and deliver samples to the CWD Processing Center. Special Notes: These are limited term (LTE) positions. Limited term positions do not automatically lead to or have the same benefits as permanent employment, but this position does offer valuable track record and an opportunity to learn more about position openings with the Department of Natural Resources and the State of Wisconsin. LTE employees are limited to working 1039 hours within a twelve-month period. In order to be considered for this position, you must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin.
