Accounting Manager Regional - (Lubbock, TX)

Lubbock Avalanche-Journal and Amarillo Globe-News GateHouse Media We are seeking a Regional Accounting Manager for the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal and Amarillo Globe-News, reporting to work in Lubbock, TX. The position will be responsible for all financial and accounting functions at our business unit. This management position will be responsible for: • Month end close. • Appraising operating results in terms of costs, budgets and trends. • Works on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for assisting the management team in developing annual budgets for each department and manages costs to stay within approved budgets; exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
