Underwriting Leader - Commercial Lines - (Springfield, MA)

Our client, a growing, dynamic niche underwriter, is looking for an Underwriting Leader in its Western, MA office about 1/2 hr from the Hartford area.. This position will be responsible for the training and day-to-day management of a small commercial lines underwriting team that writes new and renewal accounts as well as maintaining a small book of business. The perfect candidate will have 5+ years of successful commercial underwriting background. Managerial background is preferred but will consider a strong CL underwriter looking to move up into a leadership role. Background with public entity risks is a plus. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
