EARLY CHILDHOOD THERAPIST: Position overview: The staff member’s primary duty includes providing diagnostic treatment planning and therapy for children and families in the community and school environment. Completion of all necessary paperwork and documentation essential. Some non-traditional hours, afternoons and early evenings (2-3). Q UALIFICATIONS: Education: Master’s degree in human services related position and licensed as a Qualified Mental Health Professional. Background: At least 1 yr of therapy related role with children and families. Skills & Knowledge: Familiar with nurturing approaches to children, early child development, adult learning, trauma on children and adults, relationship dynamics within families, communication, decision-making skills, anger management, social skills, leisure, self-esteem and basic home budgeting. Be able to work with a variety of curriculum such as Incredible Years, Magic 1-2-3, Circles of Security, and children’s mental health workbooks and videos.
