THERAPIST OR COUNSELOR – FAMILY BASED IN HOME SERVICES Job overview: The staff member’s primary duty includes providing individual and family counseling in the family’s home to prevent out-of-home placement of children and serve children who have mental health problems. Complete all required documentation and necessary paperwork to ensure timely payment from billing sources. Engage in team and agency activities to stay connected and up to date on current trends and issues in the field. Some non-traditional hours, afternoons and early evenings (4-5). REQUIREMENTS: Education: High-school diploma with 6000 hours of working with children and families under the direct clinical supervision of a licensed mental health professional; Bachelor’s degree with 2000 hours of working with children and families under the direct clinical supervision of a licensed mental health professional or; Master’s degree in human services related position.
