Position details: Summary of Job: Provides evidence-based individual and group clinical interventions both in the office and community settings to develop trusting relationships with clients. Engage with clients so that they may more freely discuss substance use and its effects on mental and physical health and daily functioning. Aid clients in setting their own goals for treatment, as well as plans to reduce or abstain from substance use and to learn healthy coping skills. Build rapport and a therapeutic relationship with clients to introduce them to all the elements of a healthy recovery. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervisory Responsibilities for: This title does not supervise others. Facilitates client s use of family, social and community resources; acting as an advocate with external resources and agencies and self-help programs. Provide individual, group and family counseling covering psycho-educational, addictions, daily living skills and activity therapy.
