High Performance Computing Administrator, SimCenter - Center of Excellence in - (Chattanooga, TN)

This position willensure efficient operation of the SimCenter's research computing center. Theposition is highly technical in nature, and duties include maintaining theresearch computing center environment, ensuring all server hardware is properlymaintained, and installing and patching operating systems. This position alsosupports applications that have an impact at the departmental, campus, andenterprise levels. The individual in this position will be required to keepabreast of various hardware/software technologies to plan for system/softwareimprovements, upgrades, and additions to improve overall function of theSimCenter research computing center. Knowledge of the security aspects of theaforementioned systems and software is of utmost importance. System duties areperformed on a variety of operating systems including Linux, Microsoft's serverproducts, and a variety of cloud-based hosting environments.
