VP, Safety, Electric & Gas Utility - (Hartford, CT)

Manage and oversee Enterprise-wide Corporate Safety, leading the organization in continuous strengthening of its safety culture. Work with executive leadership, union leadership and business units to instill a comprehensive approach to safe and efficient working behaviors with a focus on prevention of human errors. Establish programs and processes that promote safe human performance, accountability, state and federal regulatory compliance as well as mitigation and careful review of any accidents or hazards in the workplace. Responsibilities: • Leads the organization in a dynamic safety philosophy; moving from a transactional approach to making safety a continuous process and core value across the organization • Oversees the design, development and implementation of programs and policies that maintain a healthy and safe workplace environment
