Visiting Assistant Professor of Africana Studies and Political Science - (Wooster, OH)

The Departments of Africana Studies and Political Science at The College of Wooster seek to fill a one-year visiting position at the level of Assistant Professor divided between Africana Studies (2/3rds) and Political Science (1/third), beginning in the fall of 2019. Broad training in Africana Studies and Political Science, with a focus on African politics, is required. Expertise to teach introductory courses in Africana Studies, upper level courses in Africana Studies and comparative politics, and to advise undergraduate independent study projects in Africana Studies, comparative politics, and international relations. Preference is given to candidates who will have completed their Ph.D. by the time of appointment and who have had previous independent teaching background.
