Associate Principal for Instruction K-12 - (Denver, CO)

Des Moines Public Schools has created 75 new positions for the 2019-20 school year: Associate Principal for Instruction K-12. It’s 1 more step in DMPS becoming the model for urban education in the United States. The school district is looking for licensed educational administrators who are equity focused , possess deep instructional knowledge and are results oriented as it relates to improved instructional practices and evidenced in student achievement to fill these roles. Successful Associate Principals will work with their school communities to create, pursue and monitor a vision for instruction, school conditions and collaboration that seek equitable outcomes for students. In addition, Associate Principals will lead the way for improvements in student achievement and staff performance through professional development, instructional leadership and coordination of a comprehensive tiered intervention system. The Associate Principal will adhere to the Iowa Standards for School Leaders.
