Worker's Compensation Coordinator II - (San Antonio, TX)

Position details Under general direction is responsible for performing more complex technical and administrative work related to the evaluation and administration of workers' compensation claims for the City employees injured on the job. Ensures compliance with Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers' Compensation statues and procedures. Work conditions are in an office and outdoor environment. Exercises direct supervision over assigned staff. Essential Job Functions Coordinates all Workers' Compensation (WC) claims with City departments, the 3rd Party Administrator (TPA) and the Division of Workers' Compensation. Supervises, trains, and evaluates assigned staff. Receives and analyzes notifications of changes in policies, procedures, legislation and regulations to the Workers' Compensation Act. Prepares and coordinates correspondence, notices and letters relating to claims, as well as communicates with departments regarding employee claims status.
